In Corfu town you will enjoy the elegant architecture of the Palace of Saints George and Michael, the old Town Hall, the Liston in Esplanade square, the small squares and the two Venetian fortresses. In front of the old fortress you will find the only Cricket field in Greece due to British influence. You will have the chance to stroll around its narrow streets (kantounia),visit the Saint Spiridon church. Later we visit Kanoni area where you can enjoy the view famous Pontikonisi ,the small island symbol of Corfu and the church of Vlacherena. Afterwards visit of Mon Repos Palace the place where Prince Phillip was born. Mon Repos is a villa on the island of Corfu, Greece. It lies south of Corfu City in the forest of Palaeopolis. It was built in 1826 by the British Commissioner Frederic Adams as a gift to his Corfiot wife, Nina Palatianou. It is a small but very beautiful palace with colonial architectural elements.It operate as an archeological museum with findings from the excavations in the surrounding area.
On the west part of the island, on thetop of Pelekas hill is the Kaiser throne. This is the place where Kaiser Wilhem II wanted to visit because of the magnificent view of villages hidden in the olive groves or at the top of the hills, the city of Corfu with its castles, the highest mountain of Corfu and deep in the Ionian the blue color of the sea the coastline of mainland Greece. In the picturesque area of Paleokastritsa visit to the monastery of Virgin Mary which was founded in the 13th century, but there is little to been seen today which is more than 200 years old. Inside however, the modern building is an excellent example of Greek monastic architecture. There is an arched inner courtyard, and a small museum with Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons. The view from the Monastery is superb, with in the foreground the boat of Odysseus (Kolovri). Free time for lunch and swimming or exlore by boat the magnificent coves and the caves with crystal waters. Afterwards the tour takes you in one of Corfu’s enchantingly colourful villages, Lakones from which one of the finest panoramic views in Europe may be enjoyed. At the end visit to the byzantine Castle Angleokastro. It is located at the top of the highest peak of the island's shoreline in the northwest coast near Paleokastritsa and built on particularly precipitous and rocky terrain. It stands 1,000 ft (305 m) on a steep cliff above the sea and surveys the city of Corfu and the mountains of mainland Greece to the southeast and a wide area of Corfu toward the northeast and northwest.
