The tour offers the visitor
beautiful drives through the olive groves, traditional villages popping up in
the green landscape, mountainous rocky landscapes and spectacular views of the
Ionian Sea. Following the road to the north enjoying the nature, the excursion
will pass through the old Venetian village of Ano Korakiana with its
traditional houses, many dating back to the 16th century. A short stop for a
photo on the slope above the village.
Following the route on the
slopes of the mountain with beautiful countryside views the excursion reaches
the village of Socrates. Walking through the village and the main square you
will enjoy a refreshment, coffee and homemade sweet. In the wood carving
workshop you will find something for you or a gift. Approaching the top of the
mountain the landscape becomes rocky and wild. At the top visit to the
monastery, while the view from here is magnificent all over the island but also
on the Albanian coast. Later return to the starting point, descending to the
northeast coast of the island passing from summer resorts Ipsos and Dassia.
