Lakones is a small but picturesque village located above Palaiokastritsa. It is situated between the villages Sidari and Peroulades, Agios Stefanos is a long sandy beach in the region of Avliotes, 6 km north west of Sidari. Porto Timoni is a unique beach, hidden and not very known, below Afionas village. Actuallly, there are two different beaches which are separated by a small strip of land. The small one is Limni and the big one is Porto Timoni.

Meteora monasteries

The main features of Zagori are the Vikos Gorge that has been characterized by the Guinness Book as the deepest gorge in the world and the traditional architecture in the settlements as well as the stone bridges with a history of about 200 years.

It has particularly well preserved features from the Roman and Byzantine periods, including beautiful mosaic floors, and its ‘Homeric setting’ has benefited from remarkably little modern development. Butrint was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List in 1992.
